For tech names, BABA-SW (09988.HK) waned 1.2% to $84.25. TENCENT (00700.HK) ascended 4.2% to $378.2, while MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) climbed 2.4% to $134.6. JD-SW (09618.HK), NTES-S (09999.HK) and BIDU-SW (09888.HK) rose 1.7-1.9%. SENSETIME-W (00020.HK) plummeted 4.6% after SoftBank disposed 190 million shares of the company to cash in more than $500 million. KINGSOFT CLOUD (03896.HK) and ALI HEALTH (00241.HK) cascaded 4.9-6.2%. NETDRAGON (00777.HK) cratered 14.5% after reporting a 22% decline in its 2022 net profit.
TINGYI (00322.HK) plunged 10.4% to $12.7. The company pledged to step up its promotional efforts to regain market share, while Bank of America raised concerns over the sustainability of the company's dividend. U-PRESID CHINA (00220.HK) also contracted 2.7%.
