U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday threatened to tout high-level sanctions on Russia and tariffs on products imported from the country if the latter does not reach a solution to cease its nearly three-year war with Ukraine. Trump issued the warning in a social media post on Truth Social on his third day as president, naming Russian President Vladimir Putin. He said that if an agreement is not reached soon, there will be no choice but to slap high taxes, tariffs and sanctions on any goods sold to the US by Russia and various other participating countries.
