TAM JAI INTL Opens Up 64%+ After Resuming Trading; Major Shareholder Proposes Privatization at $1.58 Per Shr

After resuming trading this morning (18th), TAM JAI INTL (02217.HK) opened rallying 64.44% and hit a peak of $1.49. It last traded at $1.47, up 63.33%, on a volume of 9.336 million shares, involving $13.7671 million. TAM JAI INTL issued an announcement on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on Monday (17th) stating that Toridoll, its major shareholder holding 74.26% of shares, proposed a privatization offer with a cash offer price of $1.58 per share, representing a 75.56% premium over the pre-suspension price, involving a maximum cash consideration of around $556 million.
