The HSI settled the day down 472 points or 2% at 23,237. The HSCEI fell 183 points or 2.1% to close at 8,410. The HSTECH dropped 126 points or 2.4%, closing at 5,088. The total market turnover for the day amounted to HKD220.099 billion. The market was watching for JD-SW (09618.HK)'s foray into the tourism industry. JD-SW and MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) slipped 3.6% and 3.8%, respectively. TRIP.COM-S (09961.HK) and TONGCHENGTRAVEL (00780.HK) dropped 4% and 10.6%. Pressured by the Middle East tensions, airlines AIR CHINA (00753.HK), CHINA SOUTH AIR (01055.HK), and CHINA EAST AIR (00670.HK) receded 4.7%-5.5%. Other consumer stocks were also stuck in a downtrend. MENGNIU DAIRY (02319.HK) and MNSO (09896.HK) lost 3.7% and 3.8%. JIUMAOJIU (09922.HK) and XIABUXIABU (00520.HK) slid 4.7% and 9.2%. Among the new players, MIXUE GROUP (02097.HK) eroded 3.6%, while POP MART (09992.HK), MAO GEPING (01318.HK), and LAOPU GOLD (06181.HK) faded 5.3-6.4%. As for tech stocks, BABA-W (09988.HK) and TENCENT (00700.HK) dipped 2%. NEW ORIENTAL-S (09901.HK) dropped 2.6%. NTES-S (09999.HK), SMIC (00981.HK), and BIDU-SW (09888.HK) inched down 0.4-1.4%. KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) and BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) sank 3.3% and 3.6%. WEIMOB INC (02013.HK), PA GOODDOCTOR (01833.HK), KINGSOFT (03888.HK), KINGSOFT CLOUD (03896.HK), JD HEALTH (06618.HK), and ALI HEALTH (00241.HK) dived 3.9-5.3%. Handset component stocks Q TECH (01478.HK), AAC TECH (02018.HK), and SUNNY OPTICAL (02382.HK) faltered 3.8-4.3%. Carmaker XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) ebbed 1.4%. Its peers BYD COMPANY (01211.HK), NIO-SW (09866.HK), and XPENG-W (09868.HK) also retreated 2.4-2.8%. GWMOTOR (02333.HK) cratered 4%. Battery stock CATL (03750.HK) fell 2.6% to HKD298.4.
