DONGFANG ELEC (01072.HK) announced the placement of 68 million shares, representing approx. 16.67% of the enlarged H shares and approx. 1.97% of the number of issued shares, at a price per share of $15.92, a discount of approx. 7.98% to yesterday's (17th) closing price of $17.3. The Company expected the net proceeds from the Placing to be approx. $1.075 billion, among which approx. 50% of the net proceeds intended for research and development injection, and approx. 50% for expanding the Company's sales channels.
