China's Ministry of Transport stated that the US Trade Representative Office announced on April 17 the implementation of a Section 301 Investigation on China's maritime, logistics, and shipbuilding industries.

Starting from October 14, the US will impose port service fees on ships owned or operated by Chinese enterprises, Chinese-flagged ships, and ships built in China, which severely violates international trade principles and the China-US maritime agreement, disrupting maritime trade between China and the US.
