Global PC Shipments Leap 9.4% YoY in 3Q; Demand for Device Upgrades Expected to Persist: IDC

In 3Q25, global PC shipments leaped by 9.4% YoY to 75.8 million units, in line with market expectations, suggesting that the PC market remained robust on the wave of Windows 11 upgrades and device renewal, according to preliminary research from IDC. It is expected that demand for new Windows 11-compatible PCs will persist into 2026.

In terms of market share, LENOVO GROUP (00992.HK) ranked first in 3Q25 with 25.5%, followed closely by HP (HPQ.US) with 19.8%. Dell (DELL.US), Apple (AAPL.US), and ASUS held market shares of 13.3%, 9%, and 7.8%, respectively. In the same period last year, the market shares of LENOVO GROUP, HP, Dell, Apple, and ASUS were 23.8%, 19.6%, 14.2%, 8.7%, and 7.7%.
