POP MART (09992.HK) launched its Halloween “WHY SO SERIOUS” blind box series at 10 pm last night (9th). Just minutes after going on sale, blind boxes across major platforms were completely sold out, displaying as out of stock. Offline stores and other channels began sales today (10th). Of which, a single blind box is priced at RMB159, while the full box set is priced at RMB1,272, with hang tags being priced at RMB179. This marks POP MART's first release of an all-star IP vinyl plush pendant product, featuring IPs like LABUBU, DIMOO, MOLLY, HACIPUPI and Twinkle Twinkle. Data from Dewu shows that the price of super secret Moonlit Mask based on LABUBU surged from RMB159 to a peak transaction price of RMB2,289, representing a 13.4x premium.
