Yesterday (5th), China's Ministry of Finance (MOF), on behalf of the central government, successfully issued a US$4 billion sovereign bonds in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The issuance of USD sovereign bonds received warm welcome by the market, with enthusiastic subscription from international investors. The total subscription amount was US$118.2 billion, which is 30 times the issuance amount, marking the highest in the history of USD sovereign bond issuances.
