SenseTime MEA, a joint venture established by SENSETIME-W (00020.HK) and Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), announced a cooperation agreement with King Saud University. The two parties will jointly establish a localised joint AI innovation centre in Saudi Arabia to explore AI application scenario across multiple sectors, including education and scientific research. Meanwhile, SenseTime MEA is also building a computing infrastructure in Saudi Arabia. This will utilise Chinese-manufactured chips to supply the innovation centre with essential computing resources, thereby advancing technological and productivity development across areas such as education, cultural tourism, smart city, healthcare and energy.
