The HSI settled the day down 99 points or 0.4% at 25,830. The HSCEI fell 23 points or 0.26% to close at 9,151. The HSTECH dropped 38 points or 0.7%, closing at 5,606. The total market turnover for the day amounted to HKD211.426 billion. BIDU-SW (09888.HK) edged 0.2% lower. It disclosed its AI business revenue in the quarterly results, and the market is still eyeing its advertising revenue. XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) slid 4.8%. KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK), set to announce its quarterly results after the bell, slipped 1.8%. In addition, KINGSOFT CLOUD (03896.HK), WEIMOB INC (02013.HK), and KINGDEE INT'L (00268.HK) shed 2.5%. CHINASOFT INT'L (00354.HK) eroded 3.5%. Chip stock SMIC (00981.HK) faded 1.4%, while its peer HUA HONG SEMI (01347.HK) added 0.2%. In the automotive sector, BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) lost 0.9%. NIO-SW (09866.HK) and LI AUTO-W (02015.HK) also went down 2.1% and 2.6%, while SERES (09927.HK) swelled 1.7%. On the bright side, gold miners SD GOLD (01787.HK) and CHINAGOLDINTL (02099.HK) soared 7% and 8.2%. ZHAOJIN MINING (01818.HK) and LINGBAO GOLD (03330.HK) leaped 6.4% and 5.6%.
