MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) reported an adjusted net loss of RMB16 billion for 3Q25, compared to the earnings of RMB12.8 billion in the same period last year.

Wang Xing, MEITUAN-W's CEO, reiterated that price wars in the food delivery industry are an involutionary competition around low quality and prices, making it impossible to go on endlessly, according to Chinese media reports. While the company's food delivery business loss peaked out in 3Q25, it is still likely that 4Q25 will see larger losses.

MEITUAN-W will make necessary investments to maintain its leading position, but it has no intention of participating in the industry's price war, Wang stressed. Its investment strategy will be adjusted according to the competitive landscape, and it will continue to strengthen its platform's advantages in service experience and operational efficiency.
