BIDU-SW (09888.HK) (BIDU.US) announced in August 2025 that it partnered with ride-hailing company Lyft (LYFT.US) to expand its autonomous vehicle business in Europe. Lyft's CEO, David Risher, revealed that the two companies plan to initially trial autonomous driving services in London, UK. It is expected that, upon receiving regulatory approval, testing on its initial fleet with dozens of vehicles will start next year, with plans to scale to hundreds of vehicles.
