Approximately 2,195 flights between China and Japan in January 2026 have been canceled, with an overall cancellation rate of 40.4%, according to data from Flight Master. Of which, 46 China-Japan routes have had all scheduled flights canceled within the next two weeks (from 23 December 2025 to 5 January 2026). Major airlines operating China-Japan routes, including AIR CHINA (00753.HK), CHINA EAST AIR (00670.HK), CHINA SOUTH AIR (01055.HK), SPRING AIRLINES (601021.SH) and JUNEYAO AIRLINES (603885.SH), have all announced related flight change policies, according to Chinese media.
