The HSI inched up 68 points or 0.26% to close at 25,887 at midday. The HSCEI ticked up 68 points or 0.77% to 8,983. The HSTECH added 88 points or 1.6% to 5,587. Market turnover amounted to $126.415 billion.

BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) swelled nearly 6%, making it the best-performing blue chip, although the Group denied plans to launch flying cars. XPENG-W (09868.HK) elevated 6.3% as the Group tapped into the Qatar market and formed a strategic partnership in Mauritius. LEAPMOTOR (09863.HK) issued domestic shares to FAW at a 10.7% premium, involving over $4.1 billion, boosting its share price by 3.6% at midday.
