OpenAI's first AI terminal hardware product was originally outsourced to LUXSHARE PRECISION (002475.SZ) for contract manufacturing, but has recently been exclusively handed over to Foxconn, implying that Foxconn will encompass all equipment orders from OpenAI, including cloud (AI servers) to terminal hardware, Taiwanese media quoted sources as saying. OpenAI's decision was mainly based on the manufacturing location, as it prefers the new AI device not to be produced in mainland China, the report added.
