The Hong Kong government announced that Sun Dong, Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry, has canceled his visit to the US, without disclosing details. Sun was originally scheduled to conduct a six-day visit to the US today (6th), attending the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, and participating in the Hong Kong technology promotion event organized by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (San Francisco) (HKETO (San Francisco)), the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP), as well as the New Year gathering for Hong Kong people organized by the HKETO (San Francisco).
