The UK and China plan to revive the "Golden Era" business dialogue during UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer's visit to China next week, Reuters reported. Executives from well-known companies in both countries will join the newly reorganized "UK-China CEO Council".

Participating UK companies include AstraZeneca, BP, HSBC HOLDINGS (00005.HK), InterContinental Hotels Group, Rolls-Royce, Schroders, and STANCHART (02888.HK), while Chinese companies include BANK OF CHINA (03988.HK), CCB (00939.HK), CHINA MOBILE (00941.HK), and BYD COMPANY (01211.HK), sources divulged.

US President Donald Trump's remarks about acquiring Greenland might affect Starmer's visit to China, sources also revealed. Furthermore, with the new site for the Chinese Embassy in the UK recently approved, other arrangements for the visit are still in the finalization stage.

One source mentioned that the UK might announce the details of Starmer's visit and itinerary as early as Friday (23rd).
