With respect to the EU's recent release of relevant documents mandating member states to exclude "high-risk suppliers" from 18 critical sectors, including energy, transportation, and ICT services management, Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOC) spokesperson He Yungqian expressed solemn concern at a regular press conference, Xinhua News Agency reported.

The EU, without any grounds, classified certain Chinese companies as "high-risk suppliers", restricting their participation in 5G construction, the spokesman said. China vigorously opposes the EU's discriminatory actions against Chinese companies and the erroneous approach of politicizing and over-securitizing economic and trade issues.

The spokesperson accentuated that Chinese companies have long operated in Europe in compliance with laws and regulations, providing high-quality products and services to European citizens, and have actively promoted the development of Europe's telecommunications and digital industries.
