The HSI managed a comeback in early trading, once surging 154 points to an over 4.5-year high of 27,981. It settled the midday up 148 points or 0.5% at 27,975. The HSCEI rose 43 points or 0.5% to 9,555. The HSTECH fell 39 points or 0.7% to 5,860. The total market turnover for the half-day amounted to HKD171.954 billion. Multiple Chinese property developers are said to have been exempted by regulators from submitting their monthly "Three Red Lines" reports, triggering a sharp rally among Chinese developer stocks. CHINA AOYUAN (03883.HK), LOGAN GROUP (03380.HK), SUNAC (01918.HK), KAISA GROUP (01638.HK), KWG GROUP (01813.HK), and SHIMAO GROUP (00813.HK) rocketed 26-34%. CIFI HOLD GP (00884.HK), COUNTRY GARDEN (02007.HK), AGILE GROUP (03383.HK), R&F PROPERTIES (02777.HK), and SINO-OCEAN GP (03377.HK) soared 15-21%. YUEXIU PROPERTY (00123.HK), CHINA VANKE (02202.HK), SEAZEN (01030.HK), and GREENTOWN CHINA (03900.HK) leaped 9-12%. LONGFOR GROUP (00960.HK) grew 5.6%. Property managers also joined the rally, with ONEWO (02602.HK) and CG SERVICES (06098.HK) advancing 4.2% and 4%. MING YUAN CLOUD (00909.HK) and BEKE-W (02423.HK) swelled 5.4% and 7.5%. SANDS CHINA LTD (01928.HK) dived 7.3% to HKD17.47. Its 4Q25 adjusted property EBITDA rose 6.5%, though its EBITDA margin, as CLSA said, fell 2.7 ppts last quarter to 29.6%. GALAXY ENT (00027.HK) slid 3.5%. NEW ORIENTAL-S (09901.HK) gained 4%. It expects its quarterly revenue to grow 11-14% and has raised its full-year forecast. EAST BUY (01797.HK) also spiked 11.4%. With gold once approaching USD5,600 and silver hitting a new high, ZIJIN MINING (02899.HK) shot up 4%, but CHI SILVER GP (00815.HK) ebbed 7.4%. Among tech stocks, TENCENT (00700.HK) and BIDU-SW (09888.HK) inched up 0.4% and 0.3%. BABA-W (09988.HK) and BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) lost 0.2% and 0.6%. MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) remained flat at HKD98.35.
