Alibaba's Qianwen: RMB3B Free Order Cards Nearly Depleted, Only Available for 2 More Days

BABA-W (09988.HK)'s Qianwen app issued an urgent notice via its official Weibo account. It said that, due to the accelerated card collection by users returning home for the Spring Festival, the RMB3 billion free order cards are nearly depleted and will only be available for two more days. Users who have not yet collected the cards can do so first and place orders in the following 18 days. The Qianwen "RMB3 Billion Free Order" campaign officially kicked off last Friday (6th), allowing users to obtain a RMB25 no-threshold free order card for purchasing milk tea and Lunar New Year (LNY) goods. Inviting new users can earn additional free order cards, with a maximum of 21 cards obtainable. The event sparked a consumer frenzy, with some tea brands seeing order volumes reach nearly 10 times the previous day's amount. Qianwen's daily active users (DAUs) shot up by 7.3 times, reaching 58.48 million on the first day of the event, and it topped the Apple App Store's free app chart.
