The gold price may elevate to USD6,000 per ounce by the end of this year, David Wilson, Director of Commodity Strategy at BNP Paribas, predicted, attributing this to the ongoing macroeconomic and geopolitical risks, which will also lead to an increase in the gold-silver ratio, according to foreign media reports.

The gold-silver ratio is the ratio of the price of gold per ounce to the price of silver per ounce, reflecting their relative value. Wilson noted that although the gold-silver ratio is still below the two-year average level of the 1980s, it has bounced back, suggesting that the value between the two will further diverge.
