GANFENGLITHIUM Closes Up 5% as Indonesia Asks World's Largest Nickel Mine to Cut Output

Indonesia has notified Weda Bay Nickel, the world's largest nickel mine in Indonesia, that its ore production quota for this year is only 12 million tons, far lower than last year's 42 million tons, Bloomberg quoted sources as saying.

The benchmark three-month nickel futures price on the London Metal Exchange (LME) once jumped up 2.8% to US$17,980 per ton. The news also stimulated GANFENGLITHIUM (01772.HK) to prosper today (11th), which closed at $61.2, advancing 5.15%. Trading volume reached 12.1492 million shares, involving $733 million.
