Kospi Hits Record High as S Korea Replaces France as World's 9th Largest Stock Mkt

The market cap of the South Korean stock market climbed to USD3.76 trillion today (25th), a surge of around USD2.23 trillion since the beginning of last year, according to a Bloomberg report. Surpassing France's USD3.69 trillion, South Korea now has the ninth-largest stock market in the world.

The Kospi broke above the 6,000 mark today. It was last at 6,091.8, up 2.05%.
