BMW China said that Oliver Zipse, Chairman of BMW AG, accompanied German Chancellor Friedrich Merz on a visit to China, according to Bloomberg News. During the visit, BMW AG entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with CATL (03750.HK) in Beijing, with an aim to promote the collaboration in reducing carbon emissions in the power battery supply chain, thereby systematically lowering the carbon footprint of EVs and elevating the cooperation between the two parties in sustainable development and technological innovation to a new level.
