<HK Home>RVD: HK Jan Private Domestic Price Index Up 0.5% MoM, Rising for 8 Mths & Setting 1.5Yrs+ High

The Private Domestic Price Index in Hong Kong for January 2026 recorded at 301.4, representing an MoM growth of 0.53%, the Rating and Valuation Department (RVD)'s latest statistics showed.

This marked an increment for eight consecutive months and was the highest in over one and a half years. However, it remained 24.3% below the historical peak of 398.1 as set in September 2021. On a YoY basis, last month's index grew by 4.94%.

In terms of rental, last month's Private Residential Rental Index in Hong Kong stood at 201.1, up 0.3% MoM, reaching a new high for three months in a row. The previous peak was logged in August 2019, when the rental index reached 200.1.
