Hong Kong stocks rebounded in the morning session today (27th) after slipping 384 points or 1.4% yesterday (26th) on settlement date. The HSI ticked up 197 points or 0.75% to 26,578 at midday. The HSCEI lifted 35 points or 0.4% to 8,849. The HSTECH added 53 points or 1% to 5,162. Total half-day turnover of the market amounted to $121.827 billion. Homebuilder SHK PPT (00016.HK) hyped up 6.8% as its interim underlying profit rose 17%, with its interim DPS hiking to $0.98. Brokers noted that the dividend hike was a pleasant surprise, with higher future earnings transparency. NEW WORLD DEV (00017.HK), SINO LAND (00083.HK) and CK ASSET (01113.HK) jumped up 2-2.8%. For techs, BIDU-SW (09888.HK) rebounded 0.7% in the morning session as it reported a 42% YoY decline in non-GAAP net profit for 4Q25, slightly beating the upper end of market consensus. MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) is said to delay its Keeta launch plan in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, yet its share price still ballooned 2.1%. TENCENT (00700.HK) and NTES-S (09999.HK) mounted 2.8%, while BABA-W (09988.HK) and JD-SW (09618.HK) picked up 1% and 0.8%. KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) shed 1.2%, while BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) elevated 3.2%. Chip stock SMIC (00981.HK) ebbed 0.8%, while HUA HONG SEMI (01347.HK) cascaded 2%. INNOSCIENCE (02577.HK) and BIREN TECH (06082.HK) eroded 3.4% and 3.9%.
