At close, the HSI jumped up 249 points or 0.9% at 26,630. The HSCEI rose 45 points or 0.5% to close at 8,859. The HSTECH added 28 points or 0.6% to 5,137. Changes to MSCI Index constituents took effect after the market closed. The total market turnover reached HKD288.42 billion.

Property developer SHK PPT (00016.HK) logged a nearly 17% rise in interim underlying profit, with interim DPS rising to HKD0.98. The stock price swelled 7.1% at close, with brokers noting the dividend increase was a nice surprise with higher future earnings transparency. NEW WORLD DEV (00017.HK), HANG LUNG PPT (00101.HK), CK ASSET (01113.HK), HENDERSON LAND (00012.HK), and SWIREPROPERTIES (01972.HK) rallied 2.5-3.8%.

The MSCI China Index constituents changed. Among which, HESAI-W (02525.HK) and SENSETIME-W (00020.HK) soared 4.4% and 4.9%, respectively, while PONY-W (02026.HK) and YOFC (06869.HK) each ballooned over 10%. FOSUN INTL (00656.HK), which was ousted, also skyrocketed 7.5%, while CHINA VANKE (02202.HK) dipped 0.8%.

In the tech sector, BIDU-SW (09888.HK) reported a 42% YoY decline in non-GAAP net profit for 4Q, slightly beating the upper end of market expectations, with the stock rebounding 0.2%. MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) reportedly put off its Keeta launch plan in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with Meituan hiking 0.9%. TENCENT (00700.HK) and BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) rose 1.2% and 1.4%, respectively, while NTES-S (09999.HK) surged 2.4%. BABA-W (09988.HK) and KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) dropped 0.1% and 1.2%, respectively, while JD-SW (09618.HK) grew 0.4%.
