HSBC Hong Kong launched a new service on its mobile app that allows passbook customers to integrate their HKD savings account into an integrated account. Passbook customers can complete the integration via the mobile app without paperwork or branch visits. The measure aims to assist customers in consolidating their accounts, with no intention of phasing out passbook. To encourage customers to integrate their accounts, starting today, the first 1,000 customers who complete the integration will receive a cash reward of $500, while the next 15,000 will receive $100. All customers who complete the consolidation by the end of May will also be entered into a lucky draw for a limited-edition $5,888 999.9 Gold Passbook.
